Life threw a big freaking surprise my way 13 days ago. If you haven't heard, I'll fill you in, but first, let me give you some background.
I've been diligently working on the sequel to my fiction book, Ember Dragon Daughter, these past few months. I had an idea for another book at the back of my head that kept getting louder, but I ignored it. Then, I had the cover of this new book pop straight into my head. I knew I couldn't ignore it anymore.
Early May I contacted a designer, got the cover made exactly as I envisioned, and started writing this new personal development book. I finished it in a few weeks, full of channeled information to help my readers.
The concept is an affirmation book, but it is so much more than that. Affirmations are the building block of identity because the way you treat yourself and speak to yourself is a reflection of how you see yourself. When you change how you speak to yourself, you change your life.
And so, Repeat After Me: How to Change Your Life in 1,111 Affirmations or Less, was born.
And meer hours after I submitted the book to my editor, I was in a car crash. That was 13 days ago and I'm so glad to be here, talking to you again.
(I shared the details on my injuries on Instagram in a highlight. Trigger warning for discussions on injuries/surgery, seeing bruises and casts. Viewer discretion advised.)
I learned a lot about myself when writing the book and 10x more in these 10 days since, where I've had to let myself be helped, slow down, accept limitations, and re-evaluate what matters to me. I'll be sure to share it in my third self-help book 😉
Repeat After Me is a great companion to Stronger Now: How to Thrive in Any Circumstance and Become Unstoppable. You deserve to have the life you've always wanted and my goal has always been to help you get there.
Tomorrow is not guaranteed, there is only the present. Today, I choose myself. What about you?
