Do you have health goals for 2025? We are over half way through the year now, but that doesn't mean we give up on what we set as our priorities. Especially coming into the later parts of the year where there can be more stress in our lives with the holidays, as well as general world issues causing concern. It's never been more important to take care of yourself.

Hone is a company whose goal is customized longevity care. There is a phrase I saw in their marketing that really stuck out to me: Hone was founded with an unwillingness to accept that "aging" is interchangeable with "declining".
As I'm now in my mid-thirties, chasing around an eight year old, I do not want to feel like I'm declining.
Hone runs advanced lab tests on 40+ biomarkers so they can measure customer hormones, heart, brain, liver, kidneys, immunity, metabolism, and nutrients. They then use this information to customize your care, advising you on lifestyle changes and medications that will bring you closer to your goals.

Disclaimer: I was contacted by Hone Health's team to try their services for free for three months as part of their Hone Health Ambassador Program. I am not under obligation to post content about this wellness and biohacking service. My opinions are my own. #GiftedbyHoneHealth
Hone is not available in the following states, as of July 2025: AK, AL, AR, CT, DC, DE, KS, LA, MN, ND, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, SC
This is post one of two coming to the blog in August about my Hone experience, so stay tuned for the next post! I love research and learning, so you can expect a detailed review from me. In this first post, I'm going to share the questions and answers I wondered about this service, as I considered joining the program.
The second post will be a summary of my first month on the program, and it's a doozy!
Health is an important part of my goals, especially with a recent death in the family, so this opportunity came at a great time. If you too are considering a change, I want to help.
How much does Hone Health cost?
There are a few fees associated. The basis or premium membership fee (most benefits are on the premium plan), the blood work cost if you decide to do the at-home test instead of the in person test, and the medication costs. This is likely a barrier for a lot of people, but given the specialties and customized care covered by the service, it's still worth considering.
Prices below are as of July 2025 and may have changed. See here for updated information.

It seems like you can also do a one-off test for $60 and a consultation from one of the site banners, before joining a full membership. See all of your options on honehealth.com

Does Hone Health replace the need for a primary care doctor (PCP)?
No, Hone Health cannot replace a regular doctor. I'd see it more as a specialty service, rather than a replacement for a doctor. However, it can help lower the barrier to getting help in certain areas of your life, that your doctor may not specialize in.
Since Hone specializes in hormone therapies, as well as NAD and other services, this may be a fit for people that are nervous to address these concerns with their doctor, or if their doctor doesn't specialize in these areas.
Is Hone Health covered by insurance?
It is not, everything is out of pocket.
Can Hone Health be used with an HSA debit card? (Health Savings Account)
It seems so, this is the response from the company. Since I received my coverage for free, I am not using my HSA, so I can't confirm if it would work.
If you have an HSA/FSA plan through your medical insurance, you may be able to use these funds for our At-Home Hormone lab panel and other services. We're set up to process HSA/FSA cards and receive payment and do so for many of our clients today.
It's important to note that each HSA/FSA plan is different, and each plan administrator places unique restrictions on which vendors can process card payments. So, it's always a good idea to check in with your plan administrator if using your HSA/FSA funds is important to you.
How quickly can you see a doctor on Hone Health?
You can see your doctor in a Telehealth appointment after your blood results are back. They have conveinent appointment times during work hours, as well as after, so if you can't get away from your job you'll still be able to schedule your consultation.
What can Hone help you with?
Their specialties are testosterone, weight loss supplements, NAD injections, and a few other areas. However, your doctor can answer some other general questions and give advice based on your blood results so you can approach any needs across your whole lifestyle. I'll share in my review some of the advice shared with me that wasn't relate to their specialties.
Update: Read part two of my Hone Health experience, where I was removed from the program.
